First Years. Wonderful. Her first lesson back and she was teaching first years. Professor Nanterre let out a long sigh as she quickened her pace. Her lesson would be easy, brief. She didn't want to be there any more than the little brats did. Why had they decided Flying was only for First Years again? She had been perfectly fine with giving an extra hand to those who wanted it. She remembered one girl specifically who would go on to play Quidditch. Annie had always been able to pick the ones who would go on to play when they got older. She had guessed Cedric Donnohart right, and John Michaels and the Page boy. All of them Annie had picked out and all of them had gone on. Would she meet some first years now that she could pick out? The Professor doubted it. She carried her old Nimbus out with her in case she wanted to give a demonstration or whatever. Maybe she would let the more experienced ones - if any - just fly around while she babysat the rest. Not that Annie didn't like kids - she just hated first years. She had ever since she had been assigned Prefect in her fifth year and had the oh so noble job of shepherding them around everywhere.
She stepped onto the pitch, which was still a bit wet from that morning's dew. A line of brooms leaned against the stadium wall, ready for students to take them as they entered. She brushed a bit of hair out of her face, leaning on her broomstick as she waited. Sure she was incredibly early, but the blond professor had already been up and about for several hours. When at the school, she always felt rather confined, and had since she had arrived in her first year. Something about the stone walls always got her feeling claustrophobic, which was probably why she got so great at Quidditch. And yes, she had been great. Beat every record in the book and then beat it twice, with only a few beaten since. Taking a deep breath, she thought of the rumors of the new librarian. Marcus. Unwillingly, a smile crossed her usual stern face. If someone would have told her when they were seventeen that Marcus would become Hogwarts Librarian, Annie would have laughed until she wet herself. But here he was, in charge of Hogwarts' many books. Then again he was probably checking out other things to the students - like booze and banned items. She'd seen the Ministry Officials swarming Hogwarts. She'd even seen Ministry badges on some of the student's clothes. Annie glared at them all. There was about a fifty percent chance that a Ministry official would be in her lesson, and she would give them something to report about. Oh hell she would.

After breakfast that morning Loryn made her way out to the grounds for her first flying lesson. She wasn't feeling that nervous about the lesson as a child she had spent quite some time whizzing about on a broomstick and she knew that she would go perfectly fine. The annoying voice in the back of her mind, that she usually ignored, chattered on about how she would fall off and look like an idiot in front of the rest of the class. Like she usaully did, the Slytherin girl ignored the voice.
She got to the place where the class was held and noticing that she was the first one there she frowned slightly. She didn't like being the first one to get to a class. She glanced at the teacher for a moment before diverting her gaze to the brooms that were lying neatly on the ground. She walked over and stood next to one, placing her bag nicely on the ground near her feet she waited for the other students to come.

Salome wasn't quite sure why people described nervousness as butterflies in their stomach. Butterflies were pretty little things; fragile, but beautiful and she was sure some Muggle philosopher would probably compare them to the fleeting space of human life. This feeling in her gut, though, was like a gymnast throwing somersalts with huge combat boots on. Under her robes, and beneath the sweater she had thrown on over her uniform to protect her from the chill, she could feel her uniform sticking to her skin with the nervous sweat that was seeping from her pores. Flying. It seemed like such an unnatural thing to do; she was not a bird, but a girl, and she belonged here on the ground where there was no chance of falling to her death.
Arriving on the pitch, Salome noted that both the professor and a first-year Slytherin girl were already here, but otherwise there were no other students. Feeling her throat seize up, she crossed slowly over to the stadium wall and stood next to one several meters away from the girl, who she didn't know and didn't look like she wished to be bothered. It made sense that the one class Salome would prefer to be late for, she would end up terribly early and get to feel the nausea-inducing fear for much longer than necessary. This was even worse than the magical classes that she was always so antsy about; at least those couldn't hurt her. Here she was completely out of her element and worried that she would make a complete fool of herself. She wasn't a physical person whatsoever and couldn't imagine being any good at something that required so much balance. Trying to push all of her negative thoughts aside, Lo plastered a smile on her face and rocked back on her heels, waiting for more students to arrive.

Zarita slowly made her way to where flying class was being held, much against her will. She was nearly terrified of heights, but she had thoughts that maybe the class would somehow help her get over it. Biting her bottom lip lightly, she walked outside and towards the pitch for class. As she neared the place, she noticed three figures in the distance. Assuming one was the professor and two were students, she continued on her way, though her pace was considerably slower now.
As she got closer she noticed the professor, a Slytherin girl, and that one Gryffindor that had been in a couple of her other classes, Salome. Well, at least she would know someone in the class now. Maybe that would ease her apprehension. Zarita got closer to the pitch and noticed that there were brooms lined up, presumably for the students. She walked over to one, eyeing it warily. "Hullo," she said to Salome, who was next to her, initiating a conversation for the first time since she could remember.

Virgil made his way down to the Quidditch Pitch for his Flying lesson. He knew his way around a broom already, since he came from a wizarding family. Although he prefared to have his feet on the ground, he understood the necessity of learning how to fly, especially until he learned how to Apparate. And even then he may need to fly to certain places that were defended against Apparition. Thus, here he was. No doubt his attempts to fly would be hindered by his blind eye (he had quite some trouble when he was younger adjusting to his handicap), but the more he practised, the more comfortable it would become. He hoped.
As he approached the field, he saw that he was not the first to arrive. There was already three girls standing around next to the brooms, one of which was a Gryffindor. He gave her a nod and stood next to a broom of his own. He fiddled with his eye patch, scratching at the long scar that split his face from brow to lip. He guessed that his father was right, he was getting used to the patch a little bit every day. He looked around the pitch, waiting for the lesson to start.

Aria made her way slowly to the Pitch for a Flying lesson. Personally she thought it was a little redundant, considering she already knew how to fly. It was one of her favorite classes that she had taken back at home. She could fly well, she knew that. Not to brag or anything. she chuckled to herself. This earned her a few odd glances from the others walking around her. A quick glare from her was enough to have them going back to whatever it was that they had been doing before. That's right. Just turn away. Turn from the evil little snake crawling around in your midst. She really wasn't evil. To be honest, she doubted she could even stop on a worm without feeling sorry about it. It was only her cunning that had gotten her into Slytherin in her opinion. She took a deep calming breath. It would be nice to be flying again. She hadn't had time since she had arrived. To much time just wandering and exploring the castle.
When she got there, she had hoped to be the first one there so she could sneak in some fly time. To her dismay there were a couple Gryffindors already there. One was a guy standing by himself and the other was a girl standing with a Hufflepuff. She saw the professor standing off to the side with a distant grin on her face. Wonder what she's thinking about... Aria looked past her to see another Slytherin girl standing by herself. She seemed slightly familiar, but Aria waved aside. I see her at the table during meals, that's all. At first she was going to make her way to stand with Loryn, but changed her mind halfway through and went to stand by the brooms instead. She turned her attention to the brooms, making it seem like it was consuming all of her attention.

George was extremely happy and cheerful on the day he had Flying lessons at the Quidditch Pitch. The day was so beautiful for him and he was extremely enthusiastic and filled with spirit on that day. If anyone had seen him on that day,one would think his personality had completely changed. Today was the day he could fly! He always had the dream to be the best broomstick flier ever. He remembered that he had learnt to fly at the young age of five. He flew on a toy broomstick and was one of the apt fliers in his neighbourhood and actually one of the best of the young fliers in Milan. But that was a long time ago. He still continued to fly,but mostly in his later years,he was subjected to studies and reading indoors and didn't have much time to practise his flying. But he secrectly did it. It was one of greatest interests in the magical world.
He walked extremely cheerfully towards the pitch for his flying lesson. He didn't want to boast that he was an apt and one of the best fliers in his neighbourhood, but Aint it not good to brag... He couldn't help but smile. He smiled all the way towards the Pitch where he saw the Professor. The Professor was smirking and glaring at the students in a rather odd way. That was definately odd. Why would someone behave like that?....he thought. In any case, his lucky day was going even more lucky. There were some Gryffindors there near the pitch with the inclusion of the girl he met in Transfiguration. The other girl was the Slytherin who seemed to have just arrived,Aria, who was a more active girl and a girl who he really felt good with. She was like him,a person who loved to explore her surroundings and be free. He smiled and looked at everyone and went towards her,who was near the broomsticks and said,"Hello. Remember me?" He definately hoped that she remembered him. He beamed at her and observed the broomsticks which were near her. They were ordinary broomsticks, but actually fit for the first years who hadn't been on a broom before. He awaited Aria's reply in a hope that his prolonged loneliness in classes would end, temporarily.
