Intense feelings of loneliness and worthlessness led her to believe she simply wasn't good enough for those she was trying to please. As a result, she became obsessed with self-image. She ate less and less, and is now to the point where she eats one small meal a day, usually some form of toast. She continues to drink her customary cup of tea three times a day. Her peers have begun to notice the change in their classmate's appearance, though none of them have cared enough to mention it to her yet. Dr. Page and the medical staff at Hogwarts expressed their concerns, but Elayne has not felt the need to acquiesce to their nutritional requests. It is unlikely she will do so in the future. |
